Alabama burn bans come from the state, not the county courthouse: the Alabama Forestry Commission issues fire danger declarations — Fire Alerts and, in a bad drought, Drought Emergency no-burn orders — statewide or for named counties, and it stops issuing burn permits wherever one is in force.
